SAP Fieldglass, helps companies find, engage and manage external workers and services providers.
The current homepage wasn’t designed with hiring managers as the primary users, so it did not match their work. How could we help hiring managers to work more efficiently in the Fieldglass homepage?
I redesigned a homepage widget to improve hiring manager working efficiency at SAP Fieldglass.

Redesigning homepage includes large scope and many features.
Based on data analysis of homepage widget usage frequency, I collaborated with my Design Manager and my mentor to phase 1’s scope.

Since this was my first internship project and we were unsure of the specific problem to be addressed at the start. To the handle ambiguity, the first step was to understand the users, product, and design system.
I learned the user from user persona which created by other designers in the past.

I conducted heuristic evaluation and studied the pervious survey about the homepage to familiarizing myself with the Fieldglass system and identifying user issues.

Based on the above information, the first round of exploration I started from the perspective of how to provide effective information.
Keep the labels and add extra information for the hiring manager to know what's essential on the homepage.

Remove the labels and separate the information into what the hiring manager need do and what they need to know.

Remove the labels and separate the information into what the hiring manager need do and what they need to know.

We conducted a design critique session with other designers to get feedback.

I got more ideas from critique and competitive analysis, and I thought about it from a higher level perspective
Show only key information, such as worker name and pending tasks, to help hiring managers quickly make the next step.

Remove the labels and separate the information into what the hiring manager need do and what they need to know.

After anther round of critique and aligning with the SAP design system, I polished the final design.

Due to the limited time of the internship, I only participated in this project up to this stage. If I can continue the work, I will:
I would like to thank my leader, my mentor, and the friends I made in SAP. What a great summer!
Helping users get things done faster is the most basic purpose of designing enterprise products, but designers should go ahead of users to consider how to make their work better.
Coffee talks used to scare me, but I now realize their value. To interact with as many coworkers as possible, I left my comfort zone. We had fun talking since everyone shared! I'm no longer hesitant to talk to strangers.
